Amanda Smearman
Amanda is the owner of Shine Studio. She is a Licensed Senior Cosmetologist, Certified Makeup Artist, and also serves as Shine’s Lead Educator. She has been in the industry since 2003 and still works behind the chair 1-2 days a week.
In 2023, Amanda was instrumental in working with Allegany College of Maryland on a new Cosmetology Program for our area. She has recently launched her own salon owner coaching company, From Chair to CEO, where she can share tools and advice that helped her in her journey with others.
Amanda is also the owner of Sprinkles Candy Bar, Earned. (a Shine Studio Boutique). Earned. is launching Fall of 2026 as Shine moves to their new larger location at Hannah Plaza in Cresaptown.
Tracy
Tracy is Shine’s current Wedding Coordinator. Tracy is now currently a Cosmetology Apprentice so you’ll often find her at the nail table or in a treatment room. She has already built an impressive business during her education period and is accepting new guests for spa services.
Steffi
Steffi has been with Shine since 2017 and is currently a Senior Stylist in our career path. She specializes in blonding and vivid colors, and has created a beautiful business behind the chair with those services.
Jodie
Jodie has been with Shine since 2021 and is our Lead Nail Tech and Director of Nail Education. She is currently a Master Nail Tech, & Senior Stylist in our career path. While most of her time is spent at the nail table creating stunning designs, she has been building her hair business and is focusing a lot on brow services with her guests.
Cori
Cori began with Shine as an Apprentice in 2020. She became Licensed in 2023 and is currently a Level 1 Stylist in our career path. Cori enjoys working with a variety of hair, but finds her passion in balayage services.
Shelby
Shelby (aka Shelby A or “little Shelby”) has been with Shine since 2023 and is currently a Premier Stylist in our salon. She spends her time behind the chair blonding, and also offers extensions, nail and pedicure services.
Nina
Nina has been with us since 2022 when she started as a Cosmetology Apprentice. She is currently a Lead Nail Tech providing beautiful work, and also has a focus for gorgeous brows. She is in the process of expanding her services into our spa as well!
Emma
Emma started at Shine in 2023 while still attending The Temple in Frederick for Cosmetology. She is currently a Lead Stylist in our salon and enjoys creating edgy and vibrant looks for her guests. You’ll often find her in the midst of an extensive color service as she creates vivid fashion looks, stunning blondes, and vibrant reds and coppers.
Jessica
Jessica is a Licensed Massage Therapist and joined our Glow family in February of 2024. Jessica brings a variety of relaxing and beneficial specialties to our guests, including sound therapy, Yoga, and more! Jessica is also a very talented Makeup Artist!
Kenzie
Kenzie is a recent graduate of the program at ACM. In addition to hair, Kenzie is also training in Lash Extensions and will be joining Cassie to create a Lash Team. She began her training in June and is currently accepting new guests as part of her training program.
Brandi
Brandi has been with Shine since its opening in 2016 and has taken on their role of Director of In-Salon Education. She is also one of our Associate Educators, and is currently a Master Stylist in our career path.
Kimmy
Kimmy has been with Shine since 2017, and is currently a Senior Stylist in our Career path. She is our Clipper Cut specialist and has built an incredible business behind the chair, ensuring all of her cuts are performed with expertise and precision.
Cindy
Cindy was formally Shine’s Front Desk Coordinator, and in the fall of 2025 obtained her Maryland Cosmetology License again! These days you’ll find her behind the chair most likely working with one of her curly or perm guests.
Rebekah
Rebekah began her journey with Glow in 2022 and is currently a Master Skin Therapist in our career path. Rebekah provides facial services, lash/brows services, as well as body treatments.
Megan
Megan is a Premier Stylist in our salon and spends a lot of her time blonding. She is also on the path to become a LMT at ACM.
Cassie
Cassie has been with us since 2025 and is currently building her business with hair and lash extensions. She loves giving her guests the confidence that can come with both services.
Hannah
Hannah also graduated from ACM and received her license in June of 2025. She’s a Premier Stylist/Nail tech in our salon and focuses on stunning extensions, and beautiful nail creations for her clients.
Emmy
Emma (Emmy) joined our Shine team in April of 2026 after moving here from Frederick. She is a 2023 graduate of The Temple in Frederick, and has worked as a Cosmetologist since then. Emma is currently a Premier Stylist and enjoys all services, and prioritizes her guests experience every step of the way.
Cambri
Cambi is a recent graduate of CCTE and obtained her Maryland Cosmetology License. She began her training June 2026 and is currently accepting new guests as part of her training program.
Devon
Devon recently became licensed after completing the two year program at CCTE. She began her training in June and is currently accepting new guests as part of her training program.
Trinity
Trinity (Trin) is Shine’s new Front Desk Coordinator. Her professionalism and friendly personality makes her a huge asset not just for our team but also for our guests. Trin is also a local photographer so when she’s not in the salon, you may see her at local games with a camera in hand.
